Zoo Attire and Accordians in the Park

The last couple of weekends have been both busy and relaxing. Last Sunday, for Mother's Day Joe made me a delicious restaurant-style breakfast complete with breakfast tacos! Yum. Sophia made a me a giant card which was very sweet. We spent the day at the zoo. We covered the half we didn't see last time. We got to see the monkey that just plays around loose and all the women in their highheels and dresses. I've included some pictures because it's so entertaining to us that the women triptrap around in highheels everywhere.

We spent the week getting ready for the yardsale this weekend. Thanks to our nanny selling lots of stuff to her friends and family, we didn't have so much to sell. Our nanny and her daughter came with us and we sold a good amount. Just a few things left that we aren't sure how we are going to transport.

Today, we went to the Green Market to shop for vegetables and tofu (one of two places you can get it in town). Then, we mosied through the park. Lots of accordian players out, earning some change. Since the weather has gotten nicer, we've been walking everywhere. Thank goodness for the parks and all the trees.

We've also realized it's only four more weeks until we leave Kazakhstan and head back to the U.S. I think it will fly by. We are looking forward to coming home, but feeling more and more sad about leaving our nanny behind since Sophia has grown attached to her and her daughter. Sophia is very into saying whose things are whose and Ira usually has something - a seat at the dinner table, a blanket. Sophia always says, "This is Daddy's. This is Mommy's. This is Baby's. This is Lulu's." Sad to say, Lulu and Sophia's stuffed monkey both have blankets, but Daddy still does not. Tough break.
